Hype on HypeM -12-23-09
First this morning is one of our favs and a go to track for my boy Don’t Panic when we’re playing out. Wolfgang Gartners remix of the hugly popular MSTRKRFT f. John Legend - Heartbreaker takes the original to an entirely next level! I could go on and on about Gartner but to put it simply “every thing’s bigger in Texas”. If you’ve been under a rock and missed his gigantic remixes over the last little while, I advise you go have a peek at his MYSPACE and get informed.

Second on the list is a group being called “Brazils answer to Daft Punk”. The Tweleves are hot on the HypeM charts (and blogs in general lately) dropping remix after funky remix using their signature brand of big room nu-disco. Having missed their last set in Toronto (now very regretabley) I had no idea what I was in for when I went on Ilictronix and played this mix. It truley is an “Essential Mix” in the most literal way. Pay attention to the opening description from the duo on how they do their live show, it’s inspiring.

The mix is 2hrs so the tracklist was a little long to post, it can be seen here.
Third on the charts we have a personal fav of mine at the moment from dancefloor killer Mustard Pimp. When I first saw this tune a few weeks back I was skeptical to say the least. How could a remix of The Fresh Prince Theme really do justice to the classic song everyone you know can sing along with? Thats just it. Its huge at any jam and I advise all djs to drop this and experience getting your crowd involved in the sing-a-long that ensues.

Thats the top 3 from The Hype Machine this morning. Expect another post like this next time there’s a hot top 3 you need to hear.
